Blazers Swimming Captures 2025 National Catholic Swimming & Diving Championships

Notre Dame Prep's swim team has once again proven its dominance, capturing the title at the 88th National Catholic Swimming and Diving Championship Meet held at Loyola University Maryland on January 11–12, 2025. The Blazers delivered a stellar performance, finishing with an impressive 322 points—28 points ahead of the second-place team. This is the second consecutive year that NDP has won this meet.

In addition, Shannon C. '27 was named the National Catholic Swimmer of the Year at the conclusion of the meet. She placed first in both of her individual events—the 200m Freestyle and 500m Freestyle—and was part of the 200m Medley Relay team with Carley B. '26, Krysta B. '26, and Faith M. '25, which placed first and set a new National Catholics meet record.

Other highlights from this year's National Catholic Swimming and Diving Championships include:

  • Sienna B. '28, Carley B. '26, Lynn E. '28, and Ella N. '28 placed first in the 200m Freestyle Relay.
  • Lynn E. '28 placed second in the 200m Freestyle.
  • Krysta B. '26 placed second in both the 100m Freestyle and 100m Breaststroke.
