Notre Dame Prep Theatre brings mythical tale to life in Hadestown
Notre Dame Prep Theatre captivated audiences with its vibrant Upper Level musical production of Hadestown. The three-show run took place between November 15–17, including performances on Friday and Saturday evening and a Sunday matinee in the school’s Auditorium.
Based on the Tony Award-winning musical, Hadestown reimagines the ancient Greek myths of Orpheus and Eurydice, and Hades and Persephone, blending haunting melodies with themes of love, sacrifice, and hope. The production showcased the dedication of the cast and crew, who brought to life the rich, industrial-inspired world of the underworld and the heartfelt emotions of its characters.
The performances drew hundreds of theatre-goers consisting of families, alumnae, faculty, staff, and friends of Notre Dame Prep, with attendees marveling at the professional-caliber sets, evocative lighting, and intricate choreography that elevated the production.
