Lindsay Dorrance, Director of Advancement
Lindsay Dorrance started in July as the new Director of Advancement. Most recently, Lindsay worked at Gilman School for five years as the Associate Director of Development. Prior to that, she worked in Development roles at MICA, Johns Hopkins, Columbia University, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She graduated from Trinity College in Connecticut and has an MA in Modern Art and an MS in Nonprofit Development, both from Columbia University. “I am thrilled to join the NDP community and witness firsthand the incredible camaraderie of the students, staff, faculty, parents, and alumnae.”
Meghan Doyle, Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging
Meghan Doyle is coming to us from the John Carroll School where she taught in the Religion Department. She will be our new Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging (DEIB) and the Religion Department Chair here at NDP. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Mount St. Mary’s University and a Master of Education from Providence College. Throughout her nine years in Catholic education, she had many roles. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Doyle has been a Campus Minister, Co-Chair of the Peace & Justice Committee, moderator of several clubs, retreat director, and a volleyball and softball coach. Her passion is social justice and forming relationships with people. Mrs. Doyle is very excited to work alongside the Affinity Groups, Diversity Council, and faculty and staff to put our faith into action through DEIB initiatives in and out of the classroom by affirming the dignity of each and every person here.
Sister Sharon Slear, SSND, Ph.D. ’61, Executive Director of Academics
We are delighted to announce that Sr. Sharon Slear, SSND, Ph.D., an NDP alumna, will serve as the school’s new Executive Director of Academics for the 2023-2024 school year. In this role, she will work closely with the Upper and Middle Level Principals, as well as academic department chairpersons, on curricular matters. Sister Sharon has extensive administrative and leadership experience at all levels of Catholic education. Notably, she was the Founding Dean of the School of Education at Notre Dame of Maryland University, where she also served as Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. In addition, she served as Academic Vice President at Bishop Walsh School in Cumberland and has held many teaching positions. Sister Sharon is recognized locally and nationally as an educational leader and has been the recipient of numerous awards recognizing her service.
