SNHS students take part in 23rd Annual Project Clean Stream
On Saturday, October 26, members of Notre Dame Prep's Rosalind Franklin Chapter of the Science National Honor Society (SNHS), led by SNHS Vice President Izzy S. '25, participated in the 23rd annual Project Clean Stream hosted by the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy.
For this project, local waterways and woodlands receive a clean start as thousands of volunteers come together for the largest annual volunteer cleanup event in the Chesapeake Bay region twice each year in the spring and fall. Volunteers from across the vast Chesapeake Bay watershed join together to clean up trash from rivers, streams, creeks, and parks. The SNHS joined in this service project and picked up approximately 25 pounds of trash including two chairs and a shoe at Loch Raven Park. The Rosalind Franklin Chapter of the SNHS at NDP has participated in this project since 2009.
